What makes a CertainTeed SureStart new roof warranty different than other warranties? There are a number of things. If manufacturing defects in the shingles are found during the first ten years, SureStart covers:
- 100% of Materials: All shingles required to repair or replace the defective product will be provided for free. No exceptions.

Waterproofing Underlavment

Winterguard waterproofing shingle underlayment is installed at
vulnerable areas of the roof to help prevent leaks from wind-driven
rains and ice dams.
Water-Resistant Underlayment
RoofRunner® is a lightweight, synthetic polymer-based underlayment
that outperforms felt and outclasses other synthetics. RoofRunner
provides a protective laver over the roof deck and acts as a secondary
barrier against leaks.
Starter Shinoles
SwiftStart® starter shingles are the first course of shingles that are
installed and designed to work in tandem with the roof shingles for
optimal shingle sealing and performance. Required for use to obtain
enhanced warranties.
Designer Shingles
Shingles are a roof's primary defense against the elements. Choose from
a variety of Good-Better-Best styles to compliment any roof design and
fit your budget. Landmark® shingles are a high-quality, reliable choice
for beautifying and protecting a home.
Hip & Ridge Caps
Shadow Ridge® Hip and Ridge Accessory Shingles are designed
specifically for use with Landmark® TL and Landmark® Series shingles
and are used to finish the hips and ridges of your roof.
Ventilation
A roof that breaths is shown to perform better and last longer. Ridge
Vents, in combination with Intake vents, allow air to flow on the
underside of your roof deck, keeping the attic cooler in the summer and
drier in the winter.
